Arrest History in Sumner County

Sumner County Arrest Roster Search
The official Sumner County inmate roster is the closest thing to a local booking log. Its visible search form has one free-text field labeled “Type to Search.” No date, agency, charge, bond, sex, or release-status filter was documented. Cards are organized around recent booking times, but the sheriff publishes no retention period, result cap, or refresh schedule.

The single search box makes the roster useful for a known person in present custody, but weak for date-range research or a complete Sumner County arrest history.
A missing result may mean release or removal from the live feed. It does not prove that no arrest occurred. Record the Inmate ID when a valid match appears because jail mail and commissary systems also use it, and staff can use it to distinguish similar names.

A Hendersonville, Gallatin, or Portland arrest report remains with that city's police department even when the person is booked at Sumner County Jail. The county's public-record portal tells requesters to send municipal records to the municipality. Portland spans Sumner and Robertson Counties. Confirm the event location before assuming which county jail or court route applies. A county booking and a city report can describe the same event while answering different questions.
What an Arrest Record Shows
A Sumner County booking card is a moment-of-intake record. It can show the jail identifier, basic descriptors, booking time, intake charges, and a bond value for each charge. Do not infer bond conditions from a symbol alone. The roster does not define whether $0 means a hold, no monetary bond, a satisfied bond, or another status. N/A is also not self-defining. Call the jail or court with the Inmate ID and charge for current conditions.
Requesting Sumner County Arrest Records
The roster card is not the underlying arrest narrative. For a Sheriff event, ask Sheriff Records for the incident or offense report, arrest report, or booking record. Describe the date, location, subject, and record type with enough detail to identify an existing record. Sumner County requires proof of Tennessee citizenship through a valid Tennessee driver license or state ID showing a residential address.

Online requests filed outside business hours count as received the next business day. The county promises a response within seven business days, while Sheriff Records says processing and redaction may take up to ten working days. Both time frames matter.

Recent Arrests and Booking Logs
Sumner County has no separately verified sheriff arrest blotter beyond the inmate roster. The roster is an OCV feed and should be treated as a current-booking interface, not as a complete history. It lists intake data while a person remains visible in the feed. Once a person leaves the roster, the agency report, court docket, and state arrest cycle may still remain.
