Need an Official Record?
Use the record type to choose the right Sumner County or Tennessee custodian:
- Court case files: see criminal court case records, or contact the clerk of the court that heard the case
- Criminal records and rap sheets: contact the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation Criminal Records Unit
- Arrest, booking, and jail records: contact Sumner County Sheriff Records or the jail
- Official Tennessee name checks: order through TBI's Tennessee Open Records Information Services
- Police reports and incident records: contact the agency that wrote the report
- Expungement: file with the court where the charge originated

Court dockets, orders, and certified dispositions belong to the Circuit Court Clerk. Call 615-452-4367 before visiting and use extension 2 for General Sessions Criminal or extension 5 for Circuit and Criminal Court. Official pages identify Criminal Court at 117 W.
